I was close enough to endgame that the Con was more important to Int (I was already maxed out on Int) But it was worth 100+ HP

Going into the level I was wearing a ring of CON +6 and a ring of Speed +11
Leaving I had to artifaces that added up to the same

Thats a sweet ring. Most fighter types want damage and couldnt care less about int; youre not supposed to find this as a necromancer.

This came in handy for some extra speed for my current warrior (4.2.4). The activation has a far better success rate and duration than a Rod of Speed too...

    j) the Hard Leather Cap 'Elkor' [2,+16] <+8, +1>
Found lying on the floor of a special room at 2400 feet (level 48)

    +8 speed.
    +1 light.
    Provides immunity to Acid.
    Cannot be harmed by Acid.

When activated, it hastens you for d75+75 turns.
Takes 371 to 455 turns to recharge at your current speed.
Your chance of success is 93.3%

For me, fire immunity has fallen off of my priority list as a swap item. I tried to make use of this item but never could get enough +Light to offset the -Light effect. What I really liked was the map/light/detect aspect, but you need to wield damn thing in order to get any reuse out of it. In the end I Barandil was victorious using the phial.

Finding such a thing early on at least gets one some runes known when "selling" it.

It makes your skin harder to damage, but conduct electricity.
It paralyses you every now and then.
    It makes you hallucinate sometimes.

STR : 22 It allows you to levitate.
INT : 15 It prevents teleportation.
WIS : 13 It cannot be harmed by the elements.
Randart names can sometimes be weird in my translation, I'll be looking into that later; anyway, +4 CON/CHR/speed, an immunity, insanity resistance... and anti-teleportation. That was one of early game quest rewards, by the way.

Yeah, I would definitely consider it.

The "Prevents teleportation" aspect is also a bit unnerving - I've never intentionally played that way. I like carrying a few !PD with me, they are disposable, but I could probably live without them at this stage.
