Yeah, "Sim the Symbiant". Not creative or original, but I'm not good with names.

Anyhow, this was the last in a long string of Lost Soul Symbiants that I started after reading about someone else doing the same. I started with a Master Q, then I lucked out again by, early on, finding the Staff of Wishing, with two charges; first time I ever found the thing. I wished for a Polished Power Dragon Scale Mail of Immunity (fire immunity), and an Elven Cloak of the Magi (+5 to stealth, luck, speed, and int, free action). Then, on the very next level, I found a Rod Tip of Speed *and* a Rod Tip of Detection just a few squares away from the stairs (the second being a very big find for a Lost Soul). I felt sure that I was going to screw this up somehow, or tha th RNG would get it's revenge, but I survived and surfaced with my character at level 48. After that, things were pretty easy, with the only big annoyance being Sauron being at the top of Mount Doom, where I couldn't genocide the help he summoned.

Next I might try a Lost Soul Sorceror with Joke Monsters turned on.

Why not do the ultra ending? As a symbiont, it should be very doable? Just summon greater Ds and let them do the heavy lifting.

I didn't do the ultra-ending because I tried it once before, and wandering through level after level just looking for the down stairs got boring. Maybe I'll try it with my next character.
