Wow. Did you really get 97 princes quests (and <=3 lost sword quests)? I would have thought that would be very close to impossible -- it's certainly insanely improbable.

Oh, and just a suggestion: It might be better to use Sorceror as a base class, even when you're building a specialized mage. It gets you better multipliers for all the skills for the measly cost of 1% HP -- their hit die are identical to mages, but they're "forced" to get 1 point of Sorcery at the start.

Nope, I got about 10 lost sword quests (a low likelihood but not crazy) - 98 Princess/FF quests in all and I forgot to go back and finish one FF quest.

Good point about the Mage build on a Sorc base - I got sick of dying in the early-mid game with a Sorc so I went with the Mage for the extra HP (or lack of a HP loss) but it didn't cross my mind to pick a Sorc and then not invest in Sorcery...

Right, not tempted to cloak-scum for this char so off to roll up something different tonight. I've still never tried a proper Loremaster-type character yet...

Well, I can certainly recommend possessors. They're great fun, especially if you play with joke monsters on... (I'll avoid saying more to avoid too much spolage...)

Btw, there's also a 2.3.5 out, you might want to upgrade to that before you start a new character.
