This is almost working perfectly now! Just one case I've found where you still get an unnecessary message: if you use the wield command to swap an item in for one that's already equipped. Wielding to an empty slot is fine (and hence if you use t to take off the existing item and then wield the new one you don't get any messages) but I assume swapping is satisfying the "nothing added or removed" condition and accidentally triggering the message. -
Update 97c6d0d fixes:- Mushrooms having a failure rate
- Pack re-arrangement message spam
- Backing out of ID, enchantment etc now possible
- Brands and slays learned on learning an ego

The can't back out bug. If I recall the earlier posts, this is also draining mana points when casting certain spells, but then backing out, e.g., Identify, Enchant Weapon, Enchant Armor, etc. Haven't tested this lately.Leave a comment:

I read an unidentified scroll, turned out to be enchant weapon to-dam, I hit escape instead of choosing a weapon and it still consumed the scroll, is this intended?Leave a comment:

I picked up a two-handed great flail and it pseudoed as {excellent}. I wielded it and felt stronger healthier and more dexterous, now it has a {splendid} tag. I swung it at a nearby uruk and it glowed and identified as "of Westernesse" but it still had the {splendid} because only one of the slays had been identified. This may be working as intended but it is a change to have the ego identified but not fully known.Leave a comment:

Quiver messages I think can stay as they are - they're infrequent, and I think you want to know when anything changes there.Leave a comment:

Messages should happen when no items enter or leave your pack but nonetheless the order of the items in the pack has changed.Leave a comment:

On further testing, it seems that you now get the "You re-arrange your pack" message any time you pick up, wield or drop anything, which is a bit excessive. Previously, the message used to only occur when you identified an item and that caused it to jump to a different position in the list (changing the overall sort order); what's happening at the moment is you also get the message any time items are shunted up or down to close gaps/accommodate new items (moving to new slots but staying in the original order).Leave a comment:

ETA: You even get "You re-arrange your pack" when you wield an item from the floor or drop it from your wielded equipment without actually putting it in the pack.Last edited by Nomad; May 28, 2015, 19:22.Leave a comment:
