I ran on Windows 7. And just now I tried it on a fresh install from rephial on an old Windows Server. With graphics (default) it works as it should but as soon as I turn off the graphics the AC is not updated correctly. Instead AC is updated one step behind all the time. So when it should be 154 it says 202 and vice versa.

Update f59f9e5 fixes the trap crashes, I believe. I haven't tested it on the two savefiles you guys put in, because the fix stops the problems in those from occurring, so they will probably still crash.

Yeah, sorry guys, looks like I've broken traps - I had a nasty crash last night too which seemed to be trap-related, and door locks are traps now too. I'll be reverting all the silly things I did to try and stop traps appearing on stairs, and doing something much simpler.

Crash bug. Open door to the south and it crashes.

CRASH. Playing around with it a few times and saving every step, here is how I can consistently replicate this crash in OSX. Aris.zip

Have @ use the rod of disarming to disable the traps to the south. (Inscribed with @z6, so, z6 down arrow.) Then save the file, ^s. The program crashes during the save, and saves a corrupt savefile while leaving the original savefile intact. It will also crash if you don't do the save, just take a couple steps south after disarming the traps, but then you also don't get the additional corrupt savefile as a bonus.

As for the redraw-failure to update info problem. It continues to happen, but as you noticed, it stops and starts. I've seen it affect AC, Speed, and Stats displays.

Update fcb2a07 fixes:
• Readability of the splashscreen quote
• MattB's jelly crash - thanks for the savefile, the pack combining logic was just wrong, and I'm surprised there weren't more crashes from this
• Taking more care with ensuring trapless stairs, hopefully fixing Ingwe's latest crash
• Repeat wielding of the same item

Some other things:

Possibly related to Bug #1922. Speed display not updating properly.

On the attached savefile. Swap between the boots of speed and the boots of stealth, observing the speed display. On OSX this is not updating correctly, even after a move. The problem resolves with a redraw, until you swap the boots again.
The speed display updates flawlessly for me, on both Linux and OSX. This whole business is quite odd - there are multiple independent reports of this, but it doesn't seem to be reliably reproducible.

A possible pathing problem has raised its ugly head. @ is in a vault and has successfully killed the cat lord. Can anyone explain why the tiger will not move up to attack?
No problem - tiger is frightened If you walk down and into the corner, it will go past and leg it up to the top of the vault.

Here's a zip.

It happened again, in a completely different sector of the dungeon, so I reloaded, resized and moved around all my windows again, and this time headed for the original jelly. I saved, which is this savefile, and had at 'im again. It crashed again. Then I reloaded (the savefile, not the bow), shot him carefully and no crash, but YMMD.

Did you run out of arrows? Were any falling at your feet? Any other clues?

Unknown crash when recalling from Town. Not easily replicable so no savefile attached.
Good to report, though, because it's presumably a crash on level generation, which suggests it may be my recent fix to traps appearing on stairs.
