If this behaviour is happening in your home, then that is expected. If it's happening in the town outside your home and shops, that's not expected.

I guess my point was that the triggering process doesn't seem to be happening in the town, but does immediately when in the dungeon. In town, I can ignore an item, pick up another item, and the ignored item is still in the pack. In the dungeon, when I ignore an item, it is dropped right away.

The idea is that the town is at the base of Thangorodrim, and the staircase is the gate of Angband - hence also all the lava and rubble and randomly placed shops.

@ has wielded an unidentified Tortoiseshell Amulet, but when attempting to identify it, is informed, "You have nothing to identify." Samuelson.zip

EDIT: NEVERMIND. It was me being an idiot. In the heat of battle, the item got dropped and I hadn't noticed. So, duh, of course there was nothing to identify.

OK, fair enough. It's just that your "transcript" said 1-127, so I was forced to "qualify" .

The recent nightlies seem to be suffering from intermittent slowdown again/still: repeat actions like searching and resting are sometimes instant, other times take a perceptible length of time to complete. (I don't know if it's maybe related to efforts to reduce the flicker with the tiles or something like that?)
