So it's failing to find the play_sound() function. I'm not exactly sure how SDL sound is set up for frog, but I would try adding the --enable-sdl-mixer...

If you can copy some of the output of 'make', someone here might have some ideas....

/usr/local/games is the standard place the game is put.

I suspect it's to do with Wayland, but I'm pretty ignorant about how Wayland vs X works. Personally, I would recommend the SDL2 frontend over x11.
