Current game picked up this one

    Whip of Anauglos (2d3) (+5, +28) <+1>

    +1 strength
    +1 attack speed
    Slays undead, orcs.
    Provides protection from fear.
Cannot be harmed by acid or fire.

Not particularly amazing unless you consider I picked it up on the dungeon floor at DL4. Doing 160 dpt is a little op at that level.

Just cleared a minor demon pit to claim this stunning prize:

        Code:
        p) the Phial 'Sirie' (-5,+2) <-3> {cursed}
Found lying on the floor in a pit at 850 feet (level 17)

It makes your skin harder to damage, but conduct electricity.
It paralyses you every now and then.
It occasionally makes a loud noise.
             -3 light.
             Cannot be harmed by fire.
             Sustains constitution.
             Aggravates creatures nearby.
             Radius -3 light.

When activated, it lights up the surrounding area, hurting
             light-sensitive creatures.
Takes 20 to 38 turns to recharge at your current speed.
Your chance of success is 91.9%

Hey, +2 damage! That's pretty good on a light source!

The -3 light is clearly a bug no?

Now that's really not bad for an early game find:

              Code:
              e) the Amulet of Antarsil <+1>
Dropped by Shagrat, the Orc Captain at 1050 feet (level 21)

                   +1 constitution.
                   Provides resistance to acid, poison.
                   Grants telepathy.

This funny shield is based on... the Wicker Shield of Elros.

                Code:
the Wicker Shield of Eleros [2,+21] <+1, +4>

                +1 strength.
                +4 constitution.
Provides resistance to acid, lightning, dark, chaos.
                Provides protection from confusion.
                Cannot be harmed by acid.

New randart rings can be nice...

                  Code:
                  the Band 'Aewenna' <+3, +4, +2, +8>
                  -----------------------------------
                  +3 intelligence.
                  +3 wisdom.
                  +4 dexterity.
                  +4 constitution.
                  +2 searching skill.
                  +8 speed.
                  Provides immunity to acid.
Provides resistance to lightning, fire, cold, light, dark, shards, chaos.
                  Provides protection from fear, blindness.
                  Cannot be harmed by lightning.
                  Sustains strength.
                  Speeds regeneration.

When activated, it tries to recharge a wand or staff, destroying the wand or
                  staff on failure.
Takes 90 to 110 turns to recharge.
Your chance of success is 63.1%
It's like a non aggravating one Ring... maybe even better.

Bah. Without adding RoCON, it's junk. Useless.

                                Here's a winner:

                                Code:
                                t) the Iron Helm of Amare [7,-11] {cursed}

It makes you vulnerable to fire attacks, but resistant to cold.
It paralyses you every now and then.
It occasionally makes a loud noise.
                                     It makes you mentally slow.
                                     Provides protection from blindness.
                                     Cannot be harmed by acid.
Grants the ability to see invisible things. Prevents paralysis.
