(This is from my branch of ToME 2.x/Theme: )
      Code:
      The Robe of Rhuenna (+68, +49) [2, +9] (-60%) {cursed}
      It decreases hit points 60%.
      It sustains your wisdom.
      It provides resistance to sound.
      It drains experience.
      It induces random teleportation.
      It aggravates nearby creatures.
      It it heavily cursed.
Overall pretty crappy unless I can find something to offset that massive 60% HP penalty, but holy cow: (+68, +49)! I thought I'd seen it all in ToME 2

I have had a character who actually used such a thing; the HP penalty was less though, and the other curse effects were harmless (no aggravation iirc).

Those cursed armours are incredibly rare though (at least in tome2).

Random teleportation would eventually prove fatal, I fear, and losing 60% of HP is pretty brutal, even in ToME.

Nah, you can always wear an anti-teleportation item . 60%HP of HP isn't actually that bad in Theme since there are rings (amulets?) which provide up to +100%HP (IIRC). So it could be possible to get up to +40%HP eventually. (Of course you're missing out on even more HP, but...)

HP above 1200 has diminishing returns, since that is the max effect of *Healing*. So your point is well taken.

                g) the Robe of Gathrinde [2,+18]
Found lying on the floor of a vault at 2250' (level 45)

Provides resistance to acid, lightning, fire, frost, poison gas,
                light, dark, sound, shards, nexus.
                Provides protection from fear, blindness.
Cannot be harmed by acid, fire.
                Slows your metabolism. Prevents paralysis.

That is all but three resists. I already have rNether on a shield. The only downside is very low AC for the armor slot.

Lovely robe and low AC also means little mana loss.

Isn't mana loss calculated from weight?

Yes, but robes are lightweight (and low-AC armors in general are lightweight).

Yes. I expect to use it to nearly the end, but trade it in for something heavy vs the bosses. More critically than mana, I never have to worry about being over weight; can carry a huge pile of consumables; it'd be ideal for ironman.

I also found Gloves of Eol, effectively:

Quite nice version of Bladeturner. The generator gives them the same power which may be reasonable but I'd rather have these +4's than a lot off AC and a few more resists

the White Dragon Scale Mail of Cellaique (-2) [14,+32] <+4>

Not quite Bladeturner, but my paladin loves it. It replaced a green DSM, so I have to equip a shield of preservation for poison resistance, and thankfully my randart weapon has the missing base resists covered.
