Kumbaya's a bit of a peaceful sort; while not quite a true pacificist (he had no qualms about bumping off uniques that were becoming genuinely irritating), he nevertheless tried to avoid bloodshed that wasn't absolutely necessary. For instance, during the Mirkwood Spider Quest, not one spider was harmed - Kumbaya simply went around charming them all. Same with the Lothlorien House Quest.

For much of the game this peaceful policy even extended towards Kumbaya's use of pets (at least until Mount Doom and deep Angband forced a "kill or be killed" ethic). Then multiple summoning wars kind of ruined the spirit of the thing. Ah well.

Anyway, this is my first winner who owes his victory largely to summoning.

Kumbaya defeats Melkor (with a bit of help from his friends).

The final kill count of 160 includes 50 uniques (7 of those being coaligned uniques who got killed while fighting on my side), with many of them being victims of poison/shard attacks from my pets.

I notice you've got the AMC on a lot of your equipment. Is that a new development or did you just suffer through it for most of the game?

I've got the AMC curse on pretty much everything because I used the Phial of Undeath in the Void and Nether Realm. It's not as suicidal as it sounds, since regular casting of Stone Prison meant that I was never suddenly surrounded by AMC-summoned nasties, and I could always cast Recovery to fix the other nasty side-effect. The "no attack" effect on my weapon was insignificant, since I was wielding a Mage Staff and using Summoning and Mindcraft for attack.
