Started here to grab the Phial fast, and changed my mind because I thought it's kind of cheating. It's also true that I don't feel comfortable with some changes in the dungeon generator in 3.0.0---.... By the way, as far as I can recall, I've never played post stat-gain Warriors well, and, judging from the character's gear, I think he is doomed.

Besides my usual luck with speed items, he found the Arkenstone pretty early. Very nice for a warrior. But his source of poison resistance sucks. It's pretty rare with the pre-JLE standard artefacts -- Colluin (the best), Caspanion, or Belegannon (the worst, better than Barahir, though). There are also rumoured to be Cloaks of Aman, but I haven't seen them often... Maybe rarer than RoS below 4500'. Now at 2500', and considering powerdiving (below 4000' but before the Tarrasque).

Playing too much priests (or classes with zero percent failure on defensive skills) may be considered harmful... Tried to teleaway Mouth of Sauron after manastorm and failed, and HP dropped to 23... The right reaction was to teleport self (it's not 100% safe, though). I should have scummed for more speed and used pillar dance against him...

Recalled to 4900' more than 10 times (yawn) to find Feagwath, who was the last unique to fall. Seeing some higher ranking Ladder entries, I'm tempted to farm great wyrms (Narya, Nenya and Taratol... hehe), but it's up to my patience. He's already got 14 million exps...

Since he is a warrior, he meleed Sauron and Morgoth. As an afterthought, I feel staffs of summoning might be a better idea than mass genocide, although they can be drained by Morgoth... And I stockpiled too many healing potions. Because this was my first warrior win, I didn't know how many were enough.

Hot Damn! I really like characters such as this - strong High-elf warriors. I was supposed to make a char with the same name, but since you've now taken it I'll just have to make up something better ; ). I praise your equipment, man, but why not use Necklace of the Dwarves..? I'd consider that the best one for warriors... But I gotta say man, I give a *lot* o' respect for this character..! And of course to the one who made 'im ; ) !!!!!

To Elrathi and pav: Thanks :)

On my choice of amulet: because I play priests a lot, I'm pretty dependent on protection from evil... It works wonderfully well, for, errr, (in a low voice) farming great wyrms, because it cancels most melee damages... And because of that and clever choice of immunity/resistance/double resists, I could slaughter all the uniques but Morgoth within three healing pots... Ah, I quaffed one *healing*, but can't remember when.
