Well, stumbled across a quest for Great Wyrms of Perplexity. Took down quite a few of 'em before dying. This entry is mostly posted to "brag" about some lucky finds, since the compo ladder on t-o-m-e.net doesn't show equipment.

Notice the Ring of Speed (+7) which was lying on the ground of the Sandworm Level. Also notice The Ring Angwain (+2) which was lying on the ground downstairs from that level. Also, I found an ImmFire, ImmElec armor in the remains of Durin's Bane, after which I could use fireflash to its uttermost potential. I do admit I played this character as a somewhat limited mage (with no manathrust), hardly ever using geomancy powers. How much does geomancy help in the later game? Maybe I'll have another try at Dookin later before the compo finishes. Right now I have an appointment with a petty-dwarf necromancer (Mîm's Revenge) :P

Btw, when you see "The white wolf whelps in pain!" and think it's a new form of breeder, it's time to get some sleep.
