The ToME counterpart to PosChengband's Stone of Lore is the Iron Helm of Knowledge. To get this Helm, you have kill the Glass Golem (who is *VERY* dangerous, btw) at the bottom of the Illusory Castle. Bring sources of Cure Insanity. No joke.
