    Help, Nick!

So I killed Mim on dlvl 30, and a staircase appeared (as it should, since I assume he is a mini quest to get lower in the dungeon). I walked over to it and pressed '>' to descend.

I appear on the staircase in the town with the message "You stepped through a magic portal." or whatever the portal message is. (At no time did I cast Recall.)

I buy some ammo and sell some things, and then I read a scroll of recall and it asks me which save point I want to overwrite, as if I was still down in the dungeon. Thoroughly confused, I choose "Amon Rudh 30" and it ports me instantly over to the staircase. So I just recalled from the town to the town.

Why did it send me back to town from the Mim staircase instead of to dlvl 31? Do I have to go all the way back down manually to 31 now that my recall is broken?

Congratulations - you've found Nowhere Town. Grrrr.

Send me the savefile; I'll get that fixed, and I'll have to get a fix to this out pretty smartly, too.

OK, 1.1.1 is now up (Win, Mac and src anyway - WinCE and NDS tomorrow). Changes from 1.1.0:
        • Lots of ID-by-use bugfixing
        • Nowhere Town bugfix (I hope)
        • Added doxygen config file
        • Made mouse movement part of the mouse_buttons option
        • Added 'pick up only what's in your inventory' option
        • Fixed partly broken item list
        • Fixed DSM activations
        • Some other minor tidying up

            Looks like a bug.
Monster is affected by its own chaos attack special effects, but not damage.
So monster can turn itself into a tree.

That does look like a bug, but I'm surprised. What monster have you seen it with, and how did it happen?

This is such an awesome effect that I may have to not fix the bug

Balrog casted a chaos ball, and turned itself into a jewelled chest mimic.

Must have been the splash damage from the AoE spell. That is pretty awesome. The random danger of breathing chaos is that you might get turned into a tree.

On your site is just says 1.1. Is that now 1.1.1? Or the old 1.1.0?

It's 1.1.1. My current policy with version numbers is that the third number is pretty much just for bugfixes. So all that will be available under 1.1 is the latest version, because there should be no reason for anyone to want to play the old version (unless it's HallucinationMushroom wanting to visit Nowhere Town again...).

OK, all the downloads are 1.1.1 now. Please redownload if you are on 1.1.0 - there is a nasty bug in dungeon-only mode.

I will need a very good reason to change this

Are the monsters able to be affected by all the other Chaos effects? I vote for preventing them from all the others, but keeping the chance to become a tree for pure awesomeness.

When I pick up jewelry, it either pseudo-IDs for "excellent" or "perilous", but doesn't squelch the "perilous" items because the only option to auto-squelch is "cursed". Could this be expanded to include "perilous" or add a "perilous" option in auto-squelch? I find a lot of jewelry with the new rune system and I have to manually drop or destroy them.

edit: And thank you for option "=gl"

Other "perilous" items (aka Weapons of Angband!) can be quite valuable in FAAngband. Is jewelry really so different?

You can actually go into the ego squelching and squelch individual types.

I didn't change the existing jewellery squelch options, mainly because squelching jewellery doesn't seem like a good idea. Any ring or amulet can have just about any property, and perilous just means having a drawback - so a ring with +7 speed and telepathy and -1 to CHR would be squelched. It may be that there's a sensible way to do squelch, but I can't see it yet.
