    The magic book "Power and Destruction" is listed as a book for mages and rogues but (unless I really screwed up) I couldn't read it as a rouge. Is it a mistake in the description?

      Yes it is - of the dungeon books, Rogues get to use Escapes and Trickery, and Advanced Sorcery. I just failed to change the object descriptions properly.

            OK, 1.1.2 is now up - replacing 1.1.1 is recommended. Changes:
            • Double messages in heal activations removed
            • Bug allowing negative to-hit chance fixed
            • Branded ammo identifies properly
            • Sauron's other forms are marked as dead when he is
            • Doxygen documentation support is now fairly comprehensive
            • Changes to rings and amulets to make them more coherent
            • A 13th monster trap (genocide)
            • Fixed magic book descriptions
            • Throwing/firing brings up just the quiver not the whole equipment
            • Ammo inscriptions don't overwrite each other any more
            • Empty space no longer blocks projectiles (!)
            • Made all quest monsters before Morgoth automatically avoidable in dungeon-only mode

              Just got to DLVL 101 with 'P' still alive, playing thrall mode with wilderness.
              Staircase was found normally on DLVL 100. Looks like a bug.

                  Small graphical bug:

                  "You see no more Potions of *Enlightenment*.ect objects."

                  Thanks for fixing the bypassing of quest monsters! Now I can play again.

                    All right, let's try that again.

                    1.1.3 is now up; changes from 1.1.2 are:
                    • You can't avoid Morgoth any more
                    • Dungeon only games get only 1 recall point


                    Let's hope that's it for a while.

                      So if dungeon-only games get 1 recall point, then if we leave a dungeon (and get teleported to the next) that means we can't go back to those unless we go all the way back down from the town?

                            It works fine for me in Win 7 - my guess is that it's related to your particular setup, and possibly what you've been running since last restart. My aim for managing fonts in Windows has moved from looking for a solution to damage control

                              I'm not sure if this is an issue but I noticed that druids are supposed to have weak, slow pseudo-id but it seems like I get things pdeudoed as soon as I pick them up. This has happened on multiple characters, at first I thought it was supposed to be that way since I was a Maia Warrior. Also it seems like average items are automatically IDed instantly. This happened ins a dungeon only game with two different druids. Finally, the town in a dungeon only game would not panel change while in bigtile mode allowing me to only see half the town, once in the dungeon things work fine. This is with the DVG tileset.

                              Overall I really like it especially the dungeon only mode since I am not a big fan of wilderness. I've only managed to find one peice of jewelry so far but that is cause my characters die so fast.

                                Awesome. Thanks particularly for the fix to the quiver and ammo inscribing/selection fixes. I haven't ever gotten far enough to worry about dungeons at all, let alone their bosses/quest monsters.
