Together, not bad

Dropped by Brodda, the Easterling at 1450 feet (level 29)
+4 speed
provides resistance to fire, cold, sound.
Cannot be harmed by acid
Pair of Leather Sandals of Areth [1,+17] <+3>
Dropped by Kavlax the Many-Headed at 1700 feet (level 34)
+3 intelligence
Provides resistance to dark, nether, disenchantment.
Provides protection from blindness.
Cannot be harmed by acid, fire.
Sustains constitution.
Speeds regeneration. Prevents paralysis.
When activated, it creates a large fire ball with damage 200.
Looks like the shoemaker got drunk with helmet maker and their design docs got mixed up...👍 1Comment

Not too bad for a Dungeon Level 15 drop!
This is going to come in handy. Although it probably just means something will immediately kill me.
Hmm. That screenshot is appearing way too small. I don't know why. So here's the item:
Short Bow 'Coimor' (x4) (+19, +18) <+2>
+2 shooting speed
+2 shooting power
Provides immunity to fire
Provides protection from fear
Cannot be harmed by acid, fire
Sustains constitution.
When activated, it grants cold resistance for d20+20 turns and create a cold ball of damage 75. Takes 90 to 110 turns to recharge. Your chance of success is 83.3%.Comment

I think even the game felt guilty because right before the final battles it coughed up The One Ring for me.
I just posted this one to the ladder, with more details: http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=22313Comment

I should mention that this same game had a Heavy Crossbow artifact that was x7. It had +2 shooting speed and +3 shooting power or something like that. First time I had ever seen a +3.
However, it "aggravated creatures nearby" so I never picked it up.Comment

If you're shooting them in the face three times a second, they tend to get pretty aggravated anyway.Comment

Good lord, you should at least have kept it for the Sauron and Morgoth fights. Being able to do effectively 21x damage with bolts (or 24x with Slay Evil bolts) is [i]ridiculous[/b]. Say the bow and the bolts have +20 damage between them, and the bolts are only 1d5. That's 483 damage per turn for some pretty poorly-enchanted gear. If it was +30, 1d5 Slay Evil bolts, then it'd be 792 damage per turn.Comment

Insane shovel
I've seen some post in the past that Morgoth has been killed with shovel. I think I found that shovel...
Shovel of Rilgas (3d2) (+20,+31) <+4, +2, +1>
Dropped by Rogrog the Black Troll at 2000 feet.
+4 intelligence
+2 wisdom
+1 constitution
+2 searching
+1 light
Slays undead (powerfully), dragons, demons, giants, orcs, animals, evil creatures.
Branded with poison.
Provides resistance to dark.
Provides protection from stunning.
Sustains dexterity. Grants the ability to see invisible things. Sustains your life force. Blessed by the gods.
Appropriate that a troll was carrying a weapon that literally slays everything that isn't a troll...Comment
