One of my best Steam characters to date. I really like playing ghosts. Everything was going fine, surviving and even picking fights on DL41. I was loaded down and ready to recall when I went to get one last previously detected item, to fill my last inventory slot, a scroll of Remove Curse. There were several enemies in the room, none of whom I was too concerned with as I was simply going to step forth from the wall, grab the scroll and then retreat back into the wall to read it and await recall. As soon as I grabbed the scroll, a Haunted Teapot breathed rust, which not only destroyed my last recall, but also confused me (I didn't realize at the time that it also did a significant amount of damage). I took a chance a tried to step back into the wall, which I did manage, but I was still partially exposed. With no viable healing options I tried to take one more step into the granite and ultimately safety. Instead, my confused state caused me to step into the room once again. The second rust breath finished me off.

The RoP was an early find and really facilitated my progress as I was able to conduct long melees with creatures that were very tough, but couldn't hit me. The Bastard Sword, found later, solved the other half of the equation.
