If you really want to kill everything, stick to Paladin or Warrior. At least it's in role, though it's still dangerous as hell. (Or boring: you can always dive extremely slowly.)

PS: kobold rogue (or presumably thief) is more fun than Hobbit. Slightly better HP, better strength, and RPois is way better than HLife.
