My first serious Sorceror (if Sorcerors can be serious). Petty Dwarves are underrepresented, so here's mine.

The first thing I notice is the insane number of slots tomes take up. I could probably ditch a couple of them, but I like having the variety! Every now and then I bust out with a Thunderstorm or Banishment just for kicks. Eventually I'll have to decide what to ditch for the custom tome. Until then, hooray for only having room for four items :P

Haven't gotten around to replacing Thengel. Could use some better +Life armor and/or weapons. Haven't found a single Mage Staff of Wizardry (grr). Still, the amount of mana I have is sufficient for the time being; I can always drain the rod, quaff potions, or just probability travel away and rest. Will replace that rod with an ARotI when I find one, then put the HS tip on it.

Note to self: don't ever eat Greater Titan meat "just to see what happens" again. I wasted four days resting to get rid of the hallucinations.

Anyway, finishing Mordor for the MM quests, then probably off to Dol Guldur. Or I could slip into Angband for a bit and scum for a Master Q--or, better yet, Qlz.... Just gotta keep that speed up so I have time to grab it.

Managed to balance everything out except nexus resistance and acid immunity. I'll just shield for acid and be careful around nexus (I hate getting teleport-leveled...) until I figure out a better solution. The Necromancer ist kaput; now to find the One Bling....

I killed myself in the Crypt. I was doing so-so until I came up against the Greater Lag Monster, who proceeded to summon two different summoning uniques on me--Kronos and Qlz-whatsisface (whom I happened to be wearing at the time, incidentally). That wasn't too bad; even with the massive summonings I managed to squeeze my way out and recover. Then, I decided, "hey, let's soften them up with some Great Wyrm of Power goodness" and summoned high dragons--with an Ice Storm still active.

I still almost made it out alive until the damn GWoP hemmed me in with a three-layer-thick wall of solid draconian death.

Ah, well, here's to my first high-level death. Maybe I'll do a Possessor next time....
