Playing around with levelling up the sentient weapons... levelling up the Sword of the Dawn on Greater Hell/Ice/Storm/Bile wyrms, as I have immunity. This gives plenty of random artifacts - mostly useless ones, but the occasional one that isn't that bad.

Have done Dim Gates in Angband - couldn't do the Crypt; Anchor of Space-Time got heavily cursed, and thus, I could not use the void jump-gates to move around the level. (Lesson learned - bring scrolls of *Remove Curse* for special levels - yet another item to add to the list of equipment needed.)

I'm planning on getting back into Angband soon, and doing the rest of my quests, seeing what FumbleFinger ones I get. Once I know I have no more skill points coming from FF, I'll spend all the ones I have saved up... maximize Combat and Weaponmastery, and put the rest into Stealth / Spirituality / Magic Device.

Went to Mount Doom, and had a much tougher time with the final level than what I remember from my previous characters that made it that far. Undead summoning undead got way out of control at one point, and Skugga died because I didn't keep enough of an eye on the sanity. Luckily, I had drunk the Blood of Life... but I had hoped to not use up its effects already.

In the end, the one ring was destroyed - but most of my potions of *Healing* was used up. Was a close call for a while whether Skugga would manage it all or not. Sauron is permanently bashed as well... going to Erebor now to restock on potions (and permanently take care of any ringwraiths I run across).

Sadly, at some point in Mount Doom, I must have been fighting a ringwraith without noticing it... my dagger (with the very nice drain life flag) got rather disenchanted, I noticed when I had recalled away from the level.

I have plenty of rod tips of healing in one of my houses - where is the best place to hunt for good rods to put them on? Angband? Erebor? Paths of the Dead? Elsewhere?
