Got tired of fetching stuff with Nydelath (my DM LS Sorc), so I thought I'd try something a bit more challenging - my first Alchemist, and a Hobbit Lost Soul to boot.

Adwirad is the 58th of the same name - took me a while to learn the extreme paranoia necessary to survive with only 8 HP. Got some major strokes of luck with this incarnation: at level 1, I found a !oWeakness and a =oS+7, and that was just enough to down a Draconic Quylthulg in two turns. Instant level 30.

Soon after, I found Nenya, Cambeleg, and a randart Feathers Cloak in a tiny 5-space cross vault, guarded by (IIRC) a Gorgimaera, a Black Knight, a Fruit Fly, and a couple other wimpies.

Another tiny vault (War Trolls, this time) gave me Marda, the Elven Cloak of the Magi, and the randart shield.

Then a little horseshoe-shaped vault (5 Multi-hued hounds) gave me the Anchor, the Shadow Cloak of Air, and Paurnimmen.

Now, Addy is to the point where he can start sneaking through a vault a bit carefully. Most of the rest of the loot is from my current vault. The Arkenstone and two Phials are still unliberated, if I can get past a wandering Hru and somehow take care of the Great Bile Wyrm sitting on the Arkenstone (yeah, right...too risky for now...probably have to wait for the Arkenstone to show up again...)

Taunted and killed the Hru successfully, then wandered around the level and found Thorin in another vault. That convinced me that Addy was lucky enough, and he went on to clean out the vault, including the Bile Demon guarding the Arkenstone.

Hard to decide what to keep from the vault - left behind Carlammas, Nar-i-vagil, Loch Axe of Dwarves, Marda, shield of Gothmog, both Phials, Mormegil, Durandil, plus a randart Feathers Cloak and Sm Mtl Shield.

Addy successfully wandered up through the Halls, with only one stupid mistake in a vault - so busy cleaning it out that he forgot to notice a corner that wasn't trap detected. Drop Items in a trap-filled corridor is *not* nice (see screen dump).

No other incidents up through the Halls. Ran through BD, Mirkwood, and Sandworm easily, then started on Mordor.
The princess was nice enought to give a few arts, including Haradekket, which rounded out the resists.

Starting at Mordor 40, Addy's famed hobbit luck kicked in a gain. DL40: !oLearning !!! Since he spent too much on stealth in the Halls, this comes in handy. Only 7 more points, but that means Addy can get Art Creation at CL45 instead of CL46. Addy's definitely gonna tell his descendants to not waste so much on unimportant skills...

DL41 - Addy was finally able to figure out a !oStrength, so now he's maxed out.

DL42 - poor princess got herself stuck with 11 AMHD, and Lorgan showed up for the fun. Got Arvedui out of it - might be useful.
