Finally got around to playing another archer. The entire purpose here was to find the Sling of the Thain (the only artifact sling), since my previous archers were played before it was added. I decided to do a little change in the p_info.txt so that I could play a Wood Elf Barbarian. Actually, I wish I had not since I could not activate any artifacts and could only zap a very few rods. I could have sunk some points into magic device, but already had a plan for points. No more Barbarians for me! At any rate, my strategy against Morgoth was fairly simple: Use stone to mud to get into a corner and then have at him with the Sling. The earthquake effect usually takes care of his summons anyways (he only summoned a bunch of Vrocks.) I decided to retire the character, but I kept a savefile to try out the ultimate ending. I am glad I retired the character, otherwise my YAWP would be another YASD.
