I really disliked the mimic, however, what with the inability to attack with both weapns, the poor melee, and the inconvenience of the cloaks.

And yes, mimics are very bad as a class.
You can't use any other good cloak (I'd prefer use Tuor :-(
I'm not very good at melee (with an Ent !) and the other weapon just add abilities.

But there some good points, so as a FF skill, it may be worth rising to slvl 30 ;-)
