Basic speed is +33 and with the bow I have, damage is ranging from around 650 to 3900 per shot when it hits target. Spent a lot of time hunting Wyrms in the lower levels of Angband for good bows, which is a tactic that seems to work better than anything else. I've stuck with bow mastery as ammo is more easily available (via Lothlorien) and generally turns out better than with crossbow or sling mastery when created (in terms of slays etc...). It is easier to find good Crossbow weapons as randart Bows and Bows of Lothlorien are usually pretty rare compared to Crossbows of the Haradrim. With slings you can wait for Thrain to show up at some point - the Long Bow of Bard isn't that good in comparison as it's only x5 might and no extra shots. However you can't load up on junk and dive deep into the dungeon for ammo creation as easily.

A junkart of Light Absorption is also really useful. Or theoretically it could work with *destruction* scrolls if your HP is too low for Geno.

As TOME takes such a long time to play there is a lot to be said for economy of effort. Taking risks early on in the game to advance much more quickly. I'd say that this character is by far my best yet, purely for how far I've got with not a great number of kills. Much of it was down to good luck and the fact that as a Wood Elf you get intrinsic extra might from the start of the game. Makes a big difference ...

The void and Netherealm will take *time* so may leave this one on hold for a while....
