Tried to dive, but ended up with no ?WoR at about 750', so had to laboriously climb back up. No-preserve mode and diving don't easily mix, and it was on a "special" level that I died.

Gorlim, although in-depth, not being evil was completely invisible to me, and the double-move was effectively insta-kill. I was only down a couple of HP before the 2 mana bolts.
