Will the new update break my existing character? I see one was posted in the Google Play store on May 5. -
New version is uploading. This one focuses in graphics mode, thanks to the work of backwardsEric in V.
-3 New preferences:
Monster and player health bars.
Small ascii helpers for monster tiles (it's fun, see the captures).
Sil-Q tileset (by Microchasm, fixed size).
-Added a second row for keymaps in the ribbon.

This is in Angband or NPP ? It's strange, do you use the up volume to increase the font size? You can scroll the display to see the bottom part of the terminal. The port has a minimum terminal size of 80x24. If it doesnt fit in the display scrolling is enabled.Leave a comment:

I only saw Radagast once, briefly (I fled up the stairs after he jumped out of a diagonal vault.) I died stupidly shortly thereafter, to a skull druj. (ESP surely would have helped, but my only source was an 18lb *slay evil* weapon, too heavy to carry.)
But yeah. TELE_SELF_TO increases danger by a huge amount. It's like a guardian quest you can't refuse. And if both are on the same level, you are doomed. My preference would be to put them at DL 70+, so you have a reasonable chance for a ring of speed before fighting them, and you are otherwise approaching endgame strength. Making them quite rare (like a drolem) is a reasonable alternative.Leave a comment:

NPP 0.5.4
Holy cow, Pallando the blue! Holy Orb for ridiculous damage, heal self, gain mana, haste self, 4000HP, summoning, and TELE_SELF_TO--along with every other TELE spell. All at DL 55. And he is ridiculously common..
It makes Recall at this level lethal, and stair-scumming mandatory until your character is very strong indeed.
Just an impenetrable barrier otherwise. Fortunately I had plenty of TELE_LEVEL when I met him. Otherwise my character would be dead.Leave a comment:

NPP 0.5.4: inscription doesn't work correctly.
* Inscribed book 2 @m2 gets overridden by direction keys

Weapon base damage is off, increasing with dice. A main gauche is shown as 2 (instead of 3) and a 6d4 artifact is calculated as 12 instead of 15.Leave a comment:
