Recalled to 2000 with an excellent feeling and also without my spellbook; I dropped it into the house according to the message log, so no monster detection... Would have recalled back immediately but the vault was right next to me and while the Phial was well protected in the middle, an interesting looking longbow was sitting isolated in a corner. I figured I could risk a turn and tunneled towards the bow. Indeed no protection.
I put on the bow who instantly revealed his +2 dex. An Ancient Dragon suddenly appeared so I in turn quickly disappeared.
Back in town the bow turned out to be Lothlorian +2 so the risk was totally worth it. Don't think I'll need another bow anytime soon
