I genuinely hope this is the last incarnation of this character I try; it's taken me a lot of attempts to reach this point. I opted for a two-prong battle plan. Prong One is a combination of Bearform-Combat and Curse for the early levels. Prong Two is massive Ancient Dragon command for the later levels.

How'd I get Ancient Dragons? Well, Mindcraft's Dominate spell can charm certain opponents, though those opponents will be only (coaligned), not true pets. However... if they summon monsters, THOSE monsters will be pets that you can turn into companions. So... down to the lower levels of Mordor, Dominate a Hell Knight (Death Knight will also work, but Hell Knight is better). Wait for it to summon a Lesser Balrog, take the lesser Balrog to Mount Doom and wait for it to summon a Pit Fiend, wait for the Pit Fiend to summon something like a Great Wyrm of Law, and there you go :)

Bearform gives me Free Action and Resist Confusion, and my combat skills are all right, but I'm still playing like an absurd coward; whenever I see anything, I flee in terror via Dimension Gate and wait for my six GWoP companions to deal with it :P. Thus far I've stayed far enough away from my little pretties to avoid having them breathe on me and instantly kill me. These tactics allowed me to get through Angband and even polish off Sauron. Now I've got the Ring, which is the first thing in my inventory since I completed the Eol quest and got the lantern (which I promptly dropped).

Can this character make it through Mount Doom?

Just beyond the first doorway was Ancalagon the Black. Assuming that he was just one of my Wyrms, I flung open the door... and was promptly burned to a crisp by my dragons breathing at him and his retaliation... Went by so quick I didn't get the dump.

Hmph. Had enough of this character for the time being, going to go do something else now.
