I think i'll do the boots of elvenkind, I recently found a staff of healing and I suspect that rods are hard to use, even if I focus on magic device. I'm feeling the effects from not having enough speed, even though I usually just arrow spam with phase door... before I found that l33t sword (took me the better part of an hour to kill a son of mim with arrow spam, but as long as I have his head).
