Finally a decent warrior. As before, no quests, just to make the endgame easier.

Currently diving through LoM. Am thinking about wielding Haradekket instead of Careth Asdriag for ResNex and ResDis. Maybe later. Very happy about loot so far.

Should start doing town quests.

Saruman dead. Dropped Elessar! Also found Isildur and Colannon and some new rods.

Had an encounter with a Demonic Quylthulg and summoning demons. Notable loot: Arkenstone, Cubragol! That's +30 Speed total. Hehe.

Spotted Gabriel in the distance on another level, so I wore my newly found Gauntlets of Combat and used dwarf powers to sneak close. What I didn't know was that the gauntlets drained life. Narrow escape. Lost several randart arrows. :(

It's refreshing to play races which have low exp-penalty. Already at 43!

Gah! First time playing the invasion, and Maeglin slipped away. I swapped position like mad to get to the stairs before him. And failed. Lost Mormegil, Golvathar, + other artifacts. :( Had I known the quest triggered on c-lvl 45 I'd been prepared.

Ah well. Plenty of dungeons and loot left.

Last update for today.

Met Trone and Marda, both dead. Took revenge on Gabriel and companions. Agreeable loot (Celebrimbor, Balli, Beor + the usual).

Next stop: Erebor.

More encounters with Draconic Qyulthulgs. Vorpal Blade!

This is the first time I haven't been in any of the main dungeons at this high level. I think I'll start Angband if I survive Glaurung.

Glaurung dead. Dropped Orcrist + randarts. Advice: Prefer melee to missiles if you are able. He breathes less when you're up close. Goes for other dragons/wyrms too. Other loot: Umbar, Theoden.

Oh, and a cute pit: Myriads of baby fire dragons, and some few young parent dragons. :)

Changed my mind about Angband. Should clear dungeon keepers in other dungeons first, to see if I can get better equipment. If I wear Trone for ImmFire and Reflect, I can take off Flare and add a RoS. Pro: More speed. Con: Lose benefits of Isildur. Time to balance resistances, I guess. Need ResNeth! Nearly died to some twenty Ethereal Hounds disturbing my dragon hunting.

Balanced resistances, lacking sound, but gained Reflect and speed is now +41. AC is a bit low, though (~153).

If you plan to go fountain hunting, Erebor is your stop. Gained several !o*Healing*.

White Balrog: Randart amulet; sold.
Feagwaith: Doomcaller! Gonna wear it for a while, for fun. Aggravate will force me back to Vorpal, though.

Killed my first Ringwraith with a bunch of bolts. Met Khamul also, forced to flee, ran out of bolts.

"Saved" Thorin and "killed" the Necromancer. Doomcaller useful in Ringwraith battles. Even disenchanted to (0,0) it does major damage.

Found Dragonhelm of Thrain. It does offer ResSound which I am lacking, but at the cost of ResPoison; trying to plug ResPoison I end up lacking ResNether, so I'll stick with my current eq.

Next stop: Minor dungeons (except Númenór, of course), then Angband.

Man, that was no walk in the park. Think I used 7-8 !o*Healing*, and over half an hour figuring out where to go in The Crypt. Apart from the Cloak of Luthien, I found Angrist and the Shield of Gil-galad, + some randarts. After killing Thuringwethil I got tired of the level, so I didn't sort through the rest of the loot.

Well, wearing Gil-galad, Luthien and Thorin (their equipment, rather) maintains status quo (i.e. no ResSound), but STR and CON is now maxed. Dunno if I'll bother getting Narya and Razorback. I remember there were Master Qs in a hellish corridor in Dim Gates, so I'm tempted to skip it altogether. Nameless I chickened out of last time. I'll probably take a look around this time.

Err, Dragon Helm of Thrain, not Thorin. Dwarves confuse me.

Eh. Some more equipment juggling to correct an error I made above. Replacing Evenstar with Elessar gives me ResPoison, and Thrain gives me ResSound. All resistances covered! :)

That's the last time I do Dim Gates without proper preparation. "You turn into an unthinking vegetable". Hadn't even considered carrying !oCure Sanity. Next time I'll bail out. I hate summoners, and most of the time I get more suitable rings than Narya. Bah.
