Elemental-resistant creatures can *at last* be met with Wands of Drain Life - of which these are two of the only three I've found in the game, the third blew up some levels ago and I've only just found these two. Undead elemental-resistant monsters, I simply can't kill - I hate Undead Beholders above all other things. (I might hate them less if my one and only Staff of Dispel Evil hadn't been fried the moment I set foot in the dungeon with it.)

Oh, and I hate Living Dungeons too - surely it should be a unique, its hit points are WAY out of whack compared to non-uniques of its depth.

It takes too long and too slow to kill monsters for my liking.

But the worst annoyance of all: I've found Caspanion AND I CAN'T USE IT WITHOUT CRIPPLING MY MANA SUPPLY!!!!! GAH!!!!!

I mean, hell, Caspanion is supposed to be a *boon* for spellcasters - otherwise why would it have bonuses to spellcasting stats, as well as con? - but those spellcasting stat bonuses are totally cancelled out by the immense reduction in mana. I lose over a hundred mana points when wearing a specialist-spellcaster's armour, and that is REALLY FRUSTRATING.

I've been playing this character on and off for three years through various different OAngband versions, and keep on getting bored of it. Sometimes I don't know why I bother carrying on, except for the principle of the thing ("keep on trying till you die") - this guy is NOT much fun right now.
