Yep, and godly stealth I guess, but evil HP.
I'm now on 2100' (stat potion depth), it must prove now if the concept works or not.
Wish I could find some more wands of striking. They are doing some serious damage against the most elemental resisting monsters. Those wand already killed some uniques....

Btw, this is my very first serious (-> not dying on the first 3 levels) Mage in any *band, coming that far I've never expected.

After killing Castamir I suddenly (somewhat unexpected, but I don't watch my HP frequently) reached clevel 40.
It's hard to choose my 3. Specialty now:
Without Armor Proficiency I'll probably never reach the minimum needed amount of HP for the endgame.
Otherwise I'ld like to choose Heighten Magic so much more.
Guess I have to check the artifact spoilers for light armor...

Finally got Mordekainen's on 2800'. Dimension Door rocks! While trying all kinds of teleports from my new book I went down to 2850 by TP_level and forgot trap detection. Fell through a trap door down to 2900', no level feeling due to the short visit on 2850'. Nevertheless, the first item I've picked from the floor was: Thorin! *YES* Though I lose 12 SP from wearing heavy armor, I finally have some decent Max HP now.
I'm still using high stealth equipment, including a Defender (it's a whip meanwhile) which is simply the best with my current equipment, mainly because REGEN but also for the +4 to stealth.

2900' w/o R_blind feels a bit hairy for my mage, though. The randart Angil provides ESP and +2 to CON, but no R_blind like Thranduil. I'll probably stop diving at 3000' until I get a solution: either another source for CON (e.g. a =CON +6) so that I could swap to Thranduil again (which also would give me back the lost 12 SP) or another source for R_blind.

Voila, and here's the solution!
While fighting Great ice wyrms and Ancient white dragons on 3000' one of them dropped Balli Stonehand! I hardly could have wished for anything better: it provides STR, CON, REGEN, R_blind and since I can wear the lighter Thranduil again, I'm now at full Max SP again while still at heroic stealth. Wonderful... :-)

Though I promised myself to stay on 3000' for a while I'm now on 3100' as a result from an 100' emergency drop out of a *really* nasty level.
It isn't less scary here: just met one of my stronger player ghosts "Galaxine". She appeared in form of a terrible Nether Wraith and after a long and hairy battle she finally can rest in peace now....

Still large resistance holes and no permanent speed boost, but some compensation in form of heroic stealth.

Hmm... Kinda... i can´t play for a while too... and my energy lately is being focused to another thingies... U don´t have to worry bout competing with me cuz ill use Calris as soon as i uncurse it (damn wasted a lot of enchant scrolls and nothing yet..) and then i think something nasty will eat me...

Good luck man ;)
