No specialitys. No connected stairs. Autoscum on. No ASC or LOS cheese.
'Ronal' had light, dark, nexus and +2 constitution.
The one ring found for the first time evar(111) half way through the morgoth fight. Only noticed it because it survived a word of destruction.
Speed boots dropped by morgoth along with gil-galad.
Ideally would have liked ringil and eol but couldn't be bothered waiting.

PS. Keleks sucks.

In general Oangband is much easier than it used to be just because enemy missiles don't do crazy damage anymore and they miss quite a lot. As for specialitys i don't think mages get the best ones. Maybe a device speciality. Maybe a spell to replace clear mind would be one that boosts device skill or damage temporaliy (after device damage is nerfed). At the moment any class with a recharge spell and a magic mastery boost will use Glaurungs blood.
I will try and complete the game with each different class in this style over the next few months so i can get a better picture of what should be changed.
I do think that Keleks needs full detection in it. Without it you have to carry a staff of detection anyway for non-evil invisible monsters. Thus the first two spells are redundant. Earthquake is a bad version of word of destruction. Starburst does non-elemental damage but is still a poor spell. Beguiling could be good i guess but i prefer raw damage later on.
I like the new resistance system.
