Hahaha.... you still haven't figured it out? I thought I made it pretty obvious with my first comment on the Ring.

What happens is that it's a 32 bit signed integer, which ranges from -2 billion to +2 billion. So, when you increase number of extra attacks to 238, the experience wraps around, and the amount of exp left goes from -2 billion to +2 billion. So... you don't need any experience in it at all... in fact, any experience you do build up actually makes it worse, as you have to boost it even higher.

Nope, still haven't found rabbit feet, given up on trying. Don't think it's worth it; I have enough blows that the crits from luck doesn't matter, and death fate isn't all that bad.

Balrog form is really nice early on, later on it's a little nuisance when you burn up scrolls of *ID*, but overall I'd say it's worth it.

Well, I didn't exploit anything else, so yeah, if you can beat my other equipment then we'll count that as a win for you. But it'll be a while... see the +880% HP on my armor? That actually took experience that I got from killing.

Oh yeah, one more thing: when monster drain EXP on you, it doesn't drain the EXP from your artifacts, so it's perfectly possible to get really good items while having almost no experience.

Cheers,

Dave

Primarily missing Gaunts of Eol at the moment. Possibly grab a better +atk ring (i.e. with +CON). INT and CON at barely at 40 right now, and WIS is at 41, IIRC.

It's really good except against Time Hounds/Vortices, Aether Hounds/Vortices, and Greater Balrogs (all of those seem to resist time, time after time...). The big L's and W's and D's don't, so that's good. With my current SP, I can chain cast I guess about 15 times or so, which is usually enough.

It really bothers me that I have no source of healing other than potions though. Currently, I'm having to return to the Potion Shop in Land of Rhun every 10 levels are so, to re-stock on !oHeaings.

Oh, and I'm also missing a symbiote... hm, I guess I can share-life to share, but dang it, I'm still not used to using symbotic powers.

*grats* I tried the same way with a Dark-Elf Eru-Priest (Melian)
I planned to play by Mindcraft and Thaum. Unfortunately I only got a single FF for Thaum. So I had to ditch that Idea. Anyway this char went easy. It never found the EOL too, so it is stalled by now

Redid my kit. Now DEX is horribly low at 25, and STR is 41 but not sustained, but speed is up from 21 to 33, and melee damage is hugely boosted.

Gloves of Eol is great... the Mana drain from the Glaive pretty much doesn't affect me.

On the other hand, this is the first game of ToME where I have failed to find Cubragol before Void (which I'm heading off to do now).

Hm... it was so long since a character made it to Melkor that I've forgotten some of the basic things to bring, and this wasn't helped by the fact that I was too lazy to get the Rod of Home Summoning.

In particular, I completely forgot that you need to *wield* the trinity item to get to lvl 150, not just possess it. So... I had to fight around quite a while at 149 before I finally found a ?o*Remove Curse* >_<

Also completely forgot to bring along !oMorphicOils, so that I don't blasted into Abomination. So, whereas I was hoping to do both melee and magic against him, it ended up being predominantly magic. I mean, I could hit in like 1/2 or 2/3 normally, but when he smacks with the Abomination, it's down to the base 5%.

Anyway, for the first time, he actually dropped something interesting on me... Ringil.

Oh, and incidentally, for everyone else considering Void-diving, just remember that Destruction is your friend. Getting down there was much easier this time when I realized that. Man... I shudder at the number of great characters I lost in the endgame because I didn't realize this earlier.

Hey there,

Just a quick question, trying to look everywhere wondering if there was a spoiler somewhere about getting the Trinity items. I mean how do you get them....? You also said you needed them to get to lvl 150 where do you go to get there? Got pretty far quite often although stuck finding any of em.

Thanks

****SPOILERS*** AHEAD

Just, go to level 148, go through a pink downstairs which lead to the nether realm, go to the last level (i think it is level 696) and kill tikky, she will drop the imperisable fire, which will let you create the object that you are looking for.

Wow, you have 6 out of the top 10 characters in TOME. That's amazing. Hope you're still playing every so often, heh.
