After Nimthanc got life steal, I started farming experience to see what other abilities would pop up and I ended up getting more gear than I knew what to do with, including Mormegil, which also got some farming love.

When I finally went to destroy the one ring, Sauron drained 5 speed/extra attacks from my Ring of Thien, so my damage output permanently dropped almost 25% in one turn, which was a giant bummer as Mormegil was hitting really hard. I guess it was his way of telling me a ring that grants 10 extra attacks per round is a bit ridiculous, and he didn't want me to win with such a scummy item, as he knew it wouldn't be as rewarding for me. What a guy.

Now it's off to the Void (after a bit more farming). I don't expect to survive, but dying of ripe old age sounds boring right now. I promised myself that in the Void, I will retreat like it's my job. I sure wish I had those 5 extra attacks... shut up Sauron... stupid Sauron... *grumble* *grumble*

Oh, and a big thanks to the awesome folks that ported ToME 2 to C.

At this point, I'm running around the Floor 127 of Angband holding my own, but barely. At least nearly all the uniques are dead. Without better damage, I know that I don't have a prayer in the Void (or possibly even with better damage). I at least want to take a look so that I will know a little of what to expect if I have a future character that actually has a shot. I'll probably farm until I get bored and then take the plunge.
