First winner in any -band. Played as a very stealthy warrior, and used magic device and Divination spells for necessary utility purposes (detection, ID, etc.). Never had much of a ranged attack, but stealth was so high he could usually get right next to something before it noticed him.

Only had one close call - died fighting Sauron and a GWOP, but the Blood of Life brought him back. Successfully meleed Morgoth - had to teleport away 4 times when he summoned, but with Stoneskin and Divine Aim, and a vampiric weapon, he kept trying to hit me and my next attacks would heal most of the damage.

Finding a vampiric weapon really made a difference. One of the thunderlords in the ambush dropped a Vampiric Cutlass (Defender) that boosted life by +40%. Used that for most of Angband until I accidentally attacked a ringwraith. But found my final randart sword soon after - vampiric, +4 speed, acid, slay demon and undead. Occasionally swapped in Mormegil (just to see how it would level up - gave up b/c aggravation didn't fit his style) or Ringil, but couldnt pass up vampiric.

AC was always high - dragon hunter shop on level 45 in the Sacred Land of Mountains had a PDSM on my very first visit. Later found a scroll of artifact creation and used it on it - got acid immunity and reflection. With Stoneskin his AC was 227.

Also found a Staff of Wish while searching for Morgoth - wasted a wish trying to get a Scroll of Artifact Creation, then wished for a Vampiric Shadow Blade (*Defender*) but didnt really need it at that point.
