Decided to chose one of the easier class/race combos this time. Used the autoroller for stats.
Since last release, I added a few mixed blessing rings. Suble nagging gives +2 to stealth and alertness, but randomly does something annoying every once in awhile. (a new item drawback -which I need to put into the object description..) After wearing it for awhile, it seems the annoyance is at just the right level: significantly annoying (to the PC more than to the player I think), but not too much to keep people (or at least me) from wearing it.
The robe of permanence was a very nice early find. And I bought the Holy Infusions dungeon book from the black market for about 2/3 of the gold I had on me at the time.

PS: I carry throwing weapons just for fun, and use them on non-threatening monsters which are nearly dead anyway. Without a super-good throwing weapon or gauntlets of throwing, it doesn't compare to my sling.
