    Stealth / aggravation issues

Hmm, here's a slightly more annoying problem than usual. I'm running a CL40 Assassin with 20 Stealth - with and without 'Slip into the Shadows' spell, monsters wake up within a turn or two of e approaching within telepathy range. According to my chardump, I'm not wearing any aggravating equipment and ?RevealCurses indicates that all my equipment is fully identified... character sheet is here - http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=13677

EDIT: Erm, actually, it was my new ring - I must have read my previous ?RevealCurses before putting the c) ring on. Oops. Move along, nothing to see here...

      FAangband 1.3.1

Version 1.3.1 is now the one on the download page, and also on the variants tab. Should be savefile compatible with 1.3.0, but back up when upgrading just to make sure. Many thanks to those who have reported bugs.

      • Neaten object info (in dumps, etc)
      • Fix crash in command menu
      • Stop crashes when changing to ASCII in SDL
      • Fix regional map (it is now shorter range, but accurate)
      • Improve item origins
      • Remove some anomalies between wands and staves
      • Fix to UTF8 in html screen dumps
      • Make squelching from the ground more sensible
      • Fix bug with speed update when leaving water
      • Update Complainer
      • Fix some race heights and weights
      • Improve overhead map
      • Make 'no' answer work in stores
      • Redo Shockbolt tile flavours (especially potions)
      • Fix dungeon/compressed mode Nowhere Town bug

      Failed to find/fix/repeat:
      • Bug affecting use of numbers in keymaps
      • Telekinesis/arrow pickup not working properly when the pack is full
      • Odd line-of-sight or telepathy bug involving seeing into a distant room
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Hey -- haven't had time to test, but I think that arrow bug might be specific to shapechanging!

I am so stoked to have 'n' work in stores again

lol, yeah. I have decided to abstain from news sources for the next 90 days to recover from this,... what?... 4 year election campaign. Or, 5, I guess, if you count when Romney started. But, no more of that. Must shut eyes. Must focus on... armsman. Yes. Double armsman. Can I take armsman more than once? Armsman armsman.

                      Hi there,
just tried out the new release.
I was using the Gervais tileset, some of the tiles seem to be messed up. For instance, the icons of the town shops are mostly wrong, instead there are wall and vain icons displayed. Also, in the wilderness are many stairs which are in fact impassable terrain, presumably rocks. I believe I also saw a crown which ought to be something other.

That's annoying. I'll check and see what's going on.

It's possible that you can get a quick fix by copying the graf-dvg.prf file from the lib\pref folder from an old version (or that might break it worse). Also, I do recommend Shockbolt's tiles

The Gervais tiles (via UT32) worked prior to 1.3 so unless Nick moved a bunch of stuff around (IDK, haven't played, but doesn't sound like it) UT32 should still function reasonably well. I don't know if UT32 is what Nick included in the distro or not, but I'd certainly give it a shot. www.mediafire.com/buzzkill.

The tiles are somewaht broken in this version because you will have a lot of items have tiles that have nothing to do with the item. And the @ is just a black square which makes it confusing at times. Other than that I like the traveling changes....it makes the game a bit more fun. And I'm digging hard mode.

Thanks - looks like I just either reverted my inclusion of these, or never did it...

Now fixed in development, and will be in the next release. For those currently using the Gervais tiles, just download buzzkill's UT32, put the graf-dvg-fa127.prf in the lib\pref folder (renamed to graf-dvg.prf), and put his 32x32.png in the lib\xtra\graf folder.
