What was the item on your early x-9 level ?

you mentioned price, but those are not store price values. Do stores use a multiplier of a hidden value?

I wouldnt jump to conclusions; better ask code savvy people if that is true ? I kind of doubt it.

It is true - contribution to level feeling is based essentially on price.

i was severely disappointed when i spent tons of consumables on a fairly early level and found a adamantine plate +0 which:
1. is too heavy to wear (both Spd and SP)
2. doesnt even sell for much


Once i found a deep LF -9 and i !Enlight it, i can see nothing, just a ring of speed .. well, it was +20: http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=24031

So not only the type of item matters, but the quality of the item itself.

DL30 7-9:

Corruption of Spirit? I have no idea what the 9 object was. Nothing in the vault was even remotely interesting. I don't know how deep Corruption of Spirit is, but that was the only item that, if deep enough natively, would give a 9.
