well, PDSM isn't terribly hard to get, if you want it.
Make a rogue, get him to DL98, sit on stairs, go up/down and keep casting Detect Objects.
Also PDSM has that bright yellow colour, it's unmistakable.

..again, by that time you will probably have better armour though. Even with +2 STR +2 CON, a PDSM Dwarven does not match the type of stat bonuses normally found on good randarts. And yeah it does come with that shopping list of resists, but those are plentiful in randart games.

Yesterday on angband.live, half-troll warrior, somewhere close to Wormtongue depth, Deadly Powers -book.

lucky; those are good not just for the rPois, but also because the breath can wipe out a lot of the early uniques.

I do find tons of potions of EXP early on, but also other things which are an upgrade to basic DL1 items, i.e. sling -> sling of buckland, robe -> robe of permanence, shield -> shield of preservation ..
