New memorable randarts

    I've got an entire house full of memorable randarts with this round, but it took me a long time to find them! I'm not sure what I'm currently carrying is the best batch of kit, at this point, mostly because it's too confusing to keep track of. I'm especially torn between the Trident of Ernor, which does MASSIVE damage, vs. the Cutlass of Salos, which not only gives me +4 speed but also activates for speed.

    Suggestions welcome. I need to clear out my house a bit at this point -- I guess it's time to give up the longbow and arrows given how much success I'm having with the heavy crossbow, and then I need to dump a few artifacts...

      The damage is better, by far. Carry the other as a swap if you're low on other sources of haste. 11 base speed is excellent at dl 49

        What Pete said; also I would probably use these:

        the Necklace 'Elvor' (+4,+7) <+3>
        the Iron Crown 'Moril' [0,+19] <+3>
        the White Dragon Scale Mail of Raglindeb (-2) [14,+31] <+4>

        The necklace, apart from more damage, has +3 light radius; I dont know your playstyle, if you only ever run around in levels lit up by the Arkenstone, that isnt very usefull, but for moving about in the dark without ESP, light radius is great to have.

        I prefer the stats of the crown over rblind, and the WDSM has stealth and more constitution, I would want to use it in combination with a resist base shield.

        For swap, I wouldnt bother with the sword (mostly because it wont charge up unless wielded), but maybe carry your current armor to have res disenchantment handy when needed.

            I wasnt aware of that - still, it should be useful ?

            assuming 3 from Arkenstone, and the max of 5 ( its absolute cap iirc), it would increase it to 4 ? Or, 4 -> if it adds up with other light items like the night&day crown ?

            Or doesnt it add at all ?

                        I don't disagree. But they are both amusing and memorable.

                        Karma punished me for laughing at my artifacts, so I'm able to say that the boots are based on Thingol. And the morning star, based on Holcolleth, is much worse than the weak artifact it's based on.
