I mainly fought uniques and dragons all game for good drops. Avoided most other monsters by stealth and teleporting them away. Meeow didn't see any speed-items except for Colannon until around 4000 ft, so it was a bit tricky for a while. After the first speed-ring it's an accelerating process of getting better and better eq. though.

Had luck and found 3 stacks of Slay Evil arrows/bolts, and a couple of good bows, so those were the main weapons against Morgoth.
