Just reached chlvl 33 and cleared first level of Mordor to get Deomonblade of Gothmog...

I've been carrying around Durandil and the Phial specifically just as swaps for the luck bonus when generating new levels and killing the last monster in the princess quests. It seems to be working.

Picked up nice randart armour with 2 immunities ( fire and acid) so maybe I don't have to bother having another go at Trone for his coat. ( 2 aborted attempts at chlvl 30 before I had divine aim at 22 and half the kit I've got now.

We'll see what happens - but I have a good feeling about this guy.... Crosses fingers and toes.

That confiirms it. Doing the lucky item shuffle ( Durandil and the Phial ) is definitely worth it. I just got Mormegil as the princess reward for Mordor 37' after dispatching the last Greater Basilisk. I've never seen the famed Dark Sword before..... I won't be using it now but I will store it for Unique occassions much further down the track...

Yep - Durandil and the Phial are working a treat. I just picked up the Demonhorn of Gothmog on lvl 38 of Mordor halfway through cleaning up the 14 Ancient Red Dragons for her highness.... Luck must play a bigger part than I realised previously...

Trone's dead.

Dropped Aranruth amongs other things.

I have a really good feeling about his character.

Still powering along. Aranruth is a good meat and potatoes weapon. I use the Demonblade for it's two useful spells ( Demonblade and Demonfield ) and then wield it. Currently chlvl 37 and am a bit worried that I won't receive the last two God quests. Oh well - we'll see what happens...

Just popping on "Marda" so I can take the thunderlord express down to Helcaraxe basement and knock off the White Balrog to see what she's got. After that back to Mordor. I just used Trone's coat to healp me get past the Aranea quest. Oh well after this little trip it's back to my boring chainmail randart with immun Fire and acid ( no flight or reflection though )....;-(

Hit chlvl 40 and got god quests 3 and 4 out of the way ( chlvl 37 and 40 ). His hitting power is quite good. Divine Aim + Demonblade + Aranruth + judicious use of "dunna hrassa" & "pedo mellon a minno" means he slices and dices.

There have been one or two occasions where I haven't felt like wading into battle ( pack of waterhounds ) so for those occasions I've just summoned a lesser Balrog or two to take care ot it.

I got Fingolfin from Smaug but I can't really use them becauase my gloves are my source of light resistance ( I could carry them as a spare for the dungeons but it's annoying so I'll wait till I can cover it with a good bit of gear to allow the swap.).

I should've played a Demonologist before. I'm really enjoying playing him.
