All in all, this character has probably the most pathetic equipment set from all the ToME winners thus far, especially the main weapon. Anyway, I don't have too much to do in ToME left. Still no ultra win though. I'm also pondering a 'basic items only' challenge. No egos, no artifacts. You may dub this idea 'suicidal challenge' ;-)

I'll probably try out some other variants in my gaming time now. You can expect some character sheets of mine in V, Pos, Steam, NPP or one of the modules.

The trick, of course, is getting to them. Another big rod of detection would be good, as would a good escape system. Since you can't create void gates or cast recall, you might consider a couple hundred scrolls of teleport.
