Right after making my first dump for this character I found a crossbow of speed <+5>.

Ever since I found TO (and now have 5 wands of TO) my adventure has been much tamer and less exciting. As such, I will be putting some time into forming a cogent argument for the removal (or serious nerfing of) TO from the game and the buffing of other wands/staves to compensate in a post on the forum soon! Creative solutions to OOD monsters guarding treasures when TO is not available is much more exciting and fun.

TO is maybe too good at times but it is much much harder to win without it. And to dive fast. Really. I can see getting rid of TO wands and replacing rod of TO with rod of destruction. Then the price of using it will be losing loot. But that would likely lead to more boring play than currently. Maybe have TO drain all your stats for 500 turns? it sure could come with a high cost of use.
