My first winner (and second lostsoul to reach the surface). I stopped updating my Tome CVS before DG nerfed Grow Trees.

With Ring of Flare and the Harp's activation ("a song of godness", valar form), I didn't have the normal problems of a deathmold in special levels.

Killed Sauron for the first time on level 99 of Angband, and got the ring. Went to Mt. Doom, destroyed the ring, and took Sauron out again. It took a little time on Angband 100 before Morgoth showed up.

When killing Sauron in Mt. Doom, I used trees + flying to have a good place to heal myself. When killing Sauron and Morgoth in Angband, I used a LoS/pillar dancing type trick. With an L-shaped tree-lined hallway, there were two spots where I could hit my foe without getting hit. Then, when he moved, I would teleport to the other end of the hallway. I was fast enough that I always got 1 or 2 Manathrusts in this way. At 77d30 per, it didn't take long.
