If you use the Space key to clear away messages it's not a problem: the prompt waits for either "y" or "n".

... but I see that ESC still answers no. I'll see if it's something that's easily fixed.

I've changed the quest (in branch at least) to not offer a "no" response. It's been causing problems since ... ever. It's *always* caught people out, even since the 2.2.x days, so...
