Ok thanks Lost Templar will give it a go. When The game crashed it started from my earlier save, witch is okay but that was several levels gone.

As far as we know, the double key press issue is related to a nonzero setting for the Movement Delay Factor option. Does it go away if you set movement delay to 0?Comment

Just to clarify, after Lost templar kindly refered me to 1.1.6 the dungeon map displays correctly and isn't missing any walls when viewing the dungeon with the M key. Must be something with the newer developmental versions.Comment

Im playing version 1.1.6 and I've noticed for some reason that potions of dexterity are not increasing the stat, I only have 18/60 dex and playing a maia, have drunk several chocolate potions of dexterity but nothing, and I'm not wearing anything that I know of that decreases dex.Comment

Stat potions in FA will only take you to 18 or (18/100?). I'm assuming you have a race/class/something -4 to DEX somewhere. You need *stat* potions to take your stats higher. At least that would be my guess.

playing maia paladin, I know maia have bonuses to stats but can't remeber if paladins had a -dex penalty due to class.Comment

Quick question .... What happened to the autoroller? I just picked up 1.2 after not playing in a long time and I notice it mentioned in the help file but it doesn't show up as an option.
I couldn't find a consolidated change log to ctrl-f through... and my google fu was weak this time.
Any help would settle a nagging curiosity.Comment

I am actually considering recommending 1.1.6 as the stable version to play - that's the one you get if you download 1.1 - and regarding 1.2 as the immature development branch. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

Changelog to 1.2 was lousy (if it existed at all...) - basically 1.2 has almost identical gameplay to 1.1, but is my attempt to keep up with the modernisation of the Angband codebase.

Just as an aside, I love this variant and I'm very glad for its continued development. I just wanted to add my voice to those that appreciate your work.
Cheers,

I am playing a Beorning Warrior and when I change into a bear and back again I seem to gain huge amounts of SP and sometime it goes negative i.e. I would start with no mana, change into a bear, turn back into a human and have 156117 SP, I would change into a bear and back again and I would then end up with -13903 SP and so on. I wouldn't mind if my mages got 156117 SP but not my warriors, thats just a tease!Last edited by Monkay; January 7, 2012, 05:11.Comment
