That's OK - it'll only be sitting there for one turn before you pick it up and put it on.

He only turns up at DL3, so once you are past there, you will not see him unless you are partial to low level wilderness wandering.

Hmm. Armour encumbrance and that sort of stuff should be getting checked all the time.

Oh, whilst I think about it, I've had messages saying the so-and-so is dazed, but they don't actually get stunned.
Sometimes they recover straight away - but there should be a message, IIRC.

Of course, I can't do any bugfixes while the comp is on. That would be unfair.

I've also had some strangeness with message display. I had one message that just said "Faegwath the Undead Sorceror". I just got another on changing DL that said "You can learn 1 more spell".

Actually that last one is weird. From my message log...

You have learned the spell Rune of Power.
You can learn 1 more spell.
You have learned the spell Rune of Speed.
You enter a maze of up staircases.
You can learn 1 more spell.

I wonder what refreshed for it to realise there was still another spell I could learn?

Heh, I'd noticed the prevalence of special levels and simply put it down to the RNG!

I found Ringil on a special level, as it happens - the new "Haudh-in-Ndengin" level... (first time in 12 years!)

I can't remember now, but it at least pseudo'd as dubious.

Well so far it hasn't gone over 50 - but then I am only CL39. In recent finds it has been between 17 and 50. No pattern that I can determine. I'll post a dump up soon so you can see.

I was actually thinking about the dungeon when I posted that, though I see Seany found Ringil in the wilderness.

I just stumbled upon what appears to be a wilderness camp out in the forest. There were traps around the perimeter, and there was a lot of stuff on the ground; most (good) and a few (excellent). A single trapped wooden chest contained the following: 3 average cloaks, 1 good cloak, 2 excellent cloaks, and 1 special cloak (turns out it was Colannon - yay).

This was a really neat experience. It would have been great even without the high-quality items. I love these little flavor things I'm finding in FA.

Earlier I traded some flasks of oil to the Desperate Adventurer. That was fun too.

Props for putting in little things like these. It really makes the game enjoyable.

Yep, wilderness. It was the Lev 9 wilderness just to the south of Belgost, just before you get to the mountain level. My target was probably just 2 squares or so from the northern border.

We have a winner - who already has a bone file named after him (or her).

I set the probability of wilderness themed levels to 1 to debug non-town monsters appearing in the town, and forgot to set it back.

I found a cursed amulet of the magi - I'm sure they were previously 'always good'.
Cursed in what sense? I'll check that.

My character level in the notes is all over the place on recent finds.

Very rare artifacts (and items) seem a lot more common.

I hit the 'Out of memory' bug again and also hung my PDA another time.
OK, more memory leak checking for me.

Apparently I intercepted someone's subscription scroll.

    a Scroll of World of Recall {!*}
A parchment scroll that transports you from the depths to the town and visa (sic) versa. There is a delay before it takes effect. It is titled "eeporn me".

Now to track down who originally sent this and inform their parents.

(To be slightly productive with this post - shouldn't it be "vice versa" instead of "visa versa?")
