Very pretty. If you were really keen on updating it, you could name the regions (Sirion Vale, etc) as well

It is in SV38. If you look on the map, it should say (Dungeon) beneath the location.

Yep - I don't have FAA in front of me but there should be a staircase in the middle of the level (in the middle of the river, indeed, just like Nargothrond's entrance) around SV40 or so.

Run away! Run away! You need potions of speed and/or a means of teleportation to escape.

For me it seems rare when a shapeshifter doesn't turn into a unique... The first one I saw turned into Ungoliant, which was NOT COOL.

Firstly I think one of the first shapechangers I ever saw turned into the Defiler... it was *&!#?Ł terrifying.

What is that supposed to mean?
Every class has a maximum weight weapon that they are comfortable with which increases with level. For rogues and assassins, they get a skill bonus depending on how far before that maximum they are.

    I recently found a "Sabre of Chaos (1d7) (+22, +12)".
I massacred a dozend Black Orcs on Doriath-20 but all I noticed was that an orc was teleported away once, but nothing else?!
I haven't code dived but I've seen polymorphs and holding as well as teleports of course. I have also seen some interesting player effects when getting hit by chaos attacks, but wouldn't want to spoil those...

And no, I havn't chosen "2nd trap" special ability.
Rogues get a second trap at level 25 - is this what's happening?
Maybe - I'm not sure if some friendly "W" drained me of enough XP to put me below the Lvl-25 mark just before leaving the level.
I am pretty sure, though, that I tried trapsetting on the special level, got 2, and tried after leaving, and got only 1 ... .

    The Massive Troll flees!
The Massive Troll hurls a boulder at you.
    You nimbly dodge the boulder.
The Massive Troll tries to flee!
    The Massive Troll is confused!
The Massive Troll tells the boulder to flee.
The Massive Troll hurls itself at you!
You are crushed by a Massive Trolls butt!
You die. (That's how it always ends ...)

Edit: - some new complaint -

Never seen a shapechanger change into an unique, until today?!?!

Oops, forgot. It goes out into Doriath - so it's not really progress.

I guess the resists are worth more than 8 AC, according to the current pricing scheme.

    Buggy world map...
There's something screwy going on with the world map. When I set my font to 5x8 and go full screen on a 19" monitor the world map screws up, placing some areas of the map twice, in two different locations.

Check the screen shot at www.mediafire.com/buzzkill in the FA folder. You will see that two different locations state "current" just east of Belgost and then again, down and to the left.

EDIT... and this probably doesn't surprise you, because as you already know, and I'm just beginning to realize, the world of FA doesn't exactly conform to a sheet of graph paper. There seem to be 'wormholes', mysteriously, seamlessly, connecting some parts of the map.
Not wormholes so much as it's not laid out on a square grid. When I was first coding up the world map, I kind of assumed that local precision would be enough - and it is if you can only look 5 or 6 levels in each direction. I may have to rethink that assumption.

EDIT... EDIT... just one last question, how (many levels) far south does the valley run, and what's at the end of it (what does it connect to, if anything)?
